Guidelines
Team Compositions
- Co-ed teams, with minimum of 6 players and maximum of 12 players
- Maximum 6 players on the court during games, with a minimum of 2 female players.
- League Night: Only female players may be “borrowed” from other teams to sub
- League Night: At least 1 roster female player must be present for games to count. Games will otherwise be forfeited.
- Social Night: Teams are allowed 2 weeks without a roster girl. After 2 weeks, games will be forfeited if no roster girls are present.
Social League
- The purpose of the social league is to introduce the sport to new players and allow non-competitive players a fun environment to play in
- Rosters are subject to approval from the directors of the league
- Maximum 3 competitive players are permitted on court at any time, maximum 2 competitive males on court.
- A competitive player is defined as “any player that has played in more than 2 non-social/draft seasons since Season 5 (in BOSS or equivalent leagues)
- All-female teams exempt
Waivers & Rosters
- All players must sign the waiver prior to playing, with no exceptions. You must sign the waiver to be added to a roster.
- Players must be 18 years and over to play.
- League Night: Male players can be added to a roster up to week 6. Players must have played on the team prior to week 6 to be added to the roster. New players after week 6 can only be added as a sub. Female players can be added up to week 10.
- Players can only be added to the roster of one team per division.
- If a team needs a player who is not on their roster for playoffs, they can get a player who is not on a roster (a sub) to come play or they are allowed to pull a player from an eliminated team at playoffs. Either way the team chooses, they would need the approval from Directors AND the opposing team.
Playoff Handicaps
- A “Handicap” will apply to competitive teams during playoffs who cannot play with 2 qualifying female players, but are not disqualified either. (See roster rules above)
- A handicap is a mock team member (“ghost”) to represent every missing player
- The handicap will line up as a player that has been hit out, but cannot play in the game.
- When a catch is made and the handicap mock player (“ghost”) is next in line, no actual player is caught back in, and the handicap will move to the back of the line.
